Art class description for Clay: This class is great for those child artists that want to get messy, learn how to mold, fold and carve Clay to make 3-dimensional art! Most projects will be taught in a step-by-step manor with room for individualizing. We use non-toxic air dry clay in this class.
Art class description for Sculpture class: This class will involve using many types of materials to create 3 dimensional art. While all students will be tasked with using the same materials in a project, they will be challenged with creating their own idea for designing their sculpture (how it will look). Examples of materials we use are clay, paper maché, plaster, cardboard and recycled materials. While most materials will be provided, we may ask students to bring in recycled materials from home (no need to purchase anything). All artwork will take a month or two to complete so a trial class is not available for this type of class. We encourage walk ins to come by and check out what we are working on if you are interested in enrolling in sculpture class.
